Elevated to life!

It is easy to pervert a perfectly good and beautiful encouraging prophetic song, a poem like no other.

Psalm 133 has only 3 verses and is called "a song of elevation" written by the man God Himself chose to be king, to rule - the Beloved (David).

The sole purpose of this short Psalm is to lift up, to encourage and speak life into those chosen by God.

The best is that it is prophetic.

Yet, I've heard sermons perverting this Psalm into law where the preacher preaches on the tithe and how that the pastor has to be blessed first before any of the members can be blessed.

Some twist and preach this Psalm as a prerequisite for unity in the congregation before God will hear any prayers.

Control and manipulation are key to many so-called ministries and so others will cunningly preach that holy anointing is distributed from the preacher to the members of the congregation and that they should therefore pray for him first to get certain spiritual gifts before they can expect to receive any. Them receiving depends on him (the preacher) giving ...

How pathetic?

My kids know that when reading the Bible they, in all instances, should read with the sole purpose to find Jesus and always from the perspective of the finished work of Jesus.

Now, let's read:
Behold, how good and how pleasant it isfor brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard,even Aaron's beard:that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion:
for there יהוה commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Psa 133:1-3
Who are the brethren?

This is not, firstly, the congregation, but Jesus, the first of many brethren dwelling with you (Rom 8:29). You get to choose the level of unity.

The precious ointment?

Oil and ointment talks about the anointing, the Holy Spirit Himself being poured out upon all flesh. It incorporates and includes all the blessings, gifts and power of the Holy Spirit.

The Head?

Jesus is the head of the body (Col 1:18). He is the first, the King of kings. Even Aaron's beard. Aaron means light-giver, a shadow of Jesus, The Light-Giver of the world. It starts with Jesus and runs down towards all in the body of Christ.

And the dew?

Even the dew prophetically points towards Jesus. Mount Hermon, especially Sion (not Zion as is wrongly translated), is known for it's excessive volumes of dew that drenches the shepherds or visitors at first-light. Can you see Jesus in the picture here?

What for?

"... for there יהוה commanded the blessing,
even life for evermore."

Jesus came to give life ... immortal life in the physical ...

When?

From the very moment you receive Him in the abundance of His drenching, His penetrating light, His anointing flow of good gifts and love and power ...

... for evermore!

HalleluYAH!
